Email

The fastest way to reach a human: support@scrubb.app.

There is no ticket system and no bot. Mail goes to the person who wrote the app.

Before you write

It helps enormously to include:

  • Which device and OS version (for example, “iPhone 16 Pro, iOS 26.2” or “MacBook Air, macOS 26.5”)
  • The file format involved — JPEG, HEIC, PNG, WebP, GIF or a QuickTime video
  • What you expected, and what happened instead
  • If a file failed verification, the exact wording Scrubb showed you

Please do not send us the photo itself unless we ask and you are comfortable doing so. In most cases the format and the message are enough, and a photo you are trying to strip metadata from is the last thing you should be emailing to a stranger.

Common questions

Most of them are answered on the FAQ — particularly the ones about lossless rewriting, why RAW files are refused, and what “verified” actually means.

Reporting something serious

If you believe Scrubb left metadata in a file it reported as clean, please say so directly in the subject line. That is the failure mode the app exists to prevent and it goes to the top of the queue.

Feature requests

Welcome, and genuinely read. Scrubb is deliberately narrow — it removes metadata carefully rather than editing it — so requests to add metadata editing are likely to be declined, but tell us anyway; it is useful to know what people want.
