Every photo a phone takes records where it was taken, what took it, and exactly when — data the person you send it to can read, and you cannot see. Scrubb lays all of it out in plain language, then removes it by rewriting the file’s container structure rather than re-encoding the image, so the picture that comes out is byte-for-byte identical to the one that went in. Every cleaned file is read back and verified before it is handed over: it must still decode, match the original’s dimensions, hash to the same pixels, and contain none of the targeted fields. Scrubb runs entirely on-device, has no account or server, and is a one-time purchase rather than a subscription.

What makes it different

• Lossless. It rewrites the container, not the image. Competing tools re-compress, which softens detail and often converts HEIC to JPEG.
• Verified. Every file is re-read and checked four ways before delivery. Files that fail are deleted rather than handed over.
• Safe by default. Originals are never modified unless explicitly requested, and camera RAW negatives are refused outright.
• Private by construction. No account, no server, no analytics. The only network call is turning a coordinate into a place name for the map label.
